Orbiting Apps Developers (formerly Alpha Premier Technologies), ABN [ABN] (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit oappst.com, contact us, or use our services, including web design, mobile apps, branding, digital marketing, IT support, domain registration, web hosting and email hosting. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to provide our services. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and address, when you send an enquiry, request a quote or become a client.
- Project information you share with us, such as your requirements, content, images, logins you choose to give us, and feedback.
- Domain registration details. Domain registries require the registrant’s name, organisation, postal address, email and phone number, and for .au domains your ABN or ACN and eligibility details.
- Hosting and email account information, including account contacts, server and access logs, and the website files, databases and mailboxes stored on the services we manage for you.
- Information we see while providing IT support. When we work on your computer, network or email, files and messages on those systems may be visible to us. We only access what is needed to do the job.
- Billing information such as invoices and payment records. We do not store full credit card numbers.
- Website usage information such as your browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
- To design, build, host, support and maintain your website, app, domain, email and IT systems.
- To register, renew and manage domain names on your behalf.
- To send invoices, renewal reminders, service notices and security alerts.
- To improve our website and services.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We will only send you marketing emails if you agree, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when needed to deliver our services, with:
- Domain registrars and registries, including auDA for .au domains. Some registrant details may be published in public WHOIS or domain lookup services, as the registry’s rules require.
- Hosting, data centre and email providers that run the servers for websites and mailboxes we manage.
- App stores (Apple App Store and Google Play) when we publish an app for you.
- Payment, accounting and software providers we use to run our business.
- Government bodies or law enforcement, when the law requires it.
4. Storage overseas
Some of our service providers store data outside Australia. For example, our website and some client hosting run on servers in Singapore, and app stores and email providers may store data in the United States or elsewhere. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
5. Keeping your information secure
We protect personal information with secure (HTTPS) connections, strong passwords, limited access and up-to-date software. Logins you share with us are kept private and used only for the work you have asked us to do. We delete or de-identify personal information when we no longer need it, unless the law requires us to keep it. No system is completely secure, so please tell us straight away if you think your information has been put at risk.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies to work properly and to help us understand how visitors use it. If we run Google Ads campaigns, Google may use cookies to measure results. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as well.
7. Websites and apps we build for clients
When we build or host a website or app for a client, that client decides what personal information it collects from its own users and is responsible for its own privacy policy. We handle that information only on the client’s instructions.
8. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. We will respond within 30 days. In rare cases the law allows us to refuse a request, and if so we will explain why.
9. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
